October 1st, 2017

The week of September 24th- 30th, our founder, Ricardo Antelo decided to open an MSA chapter at Sam Houston State University. Before transferring to SHSU, during the 2016-2017 school year, he was an officer for the MSA chapter of Texas A&M- College Station.

Preparations to launch a MSA chapter at SHSU were made immediately. After getting a hold of governing documents and most importantly, a constitution, from Texas A&M MSA, he found an advisor for the soon to be new organization.

Professor of Mathematics, Clarissa Stone, accepted an invitation to join the team as an advisor. She helped guide Ricardo toward the next step in the process, selecting officers. 

​

On October 1st, Ricardo hosted numerous interviews. Over 40 students asked to be interviewed. Later that night, Ricardo and Professor Stone had selected 11 officers to join the team.

The team includes young men and women of varying backgrounds all willing to work together towards one goal, the success of MSA. Meet your MSA 2017-2018 officers here.
